HOLYMOORSIDE AND WALTON ARTS FESTIVAL SOCIETY

A WARM WELCOME AWAITS

We present a variety of arts events including:

• MUSIC – classical, folk, jazz, choral

• DRAMA – plays, rehearsed readings, presentations

• EXHIBITIONS – fine arts, photography, textiles etc.

• LITERARY TALKS – author presentations, book launches, readings

We are always interested to hear of ideas for presentations and performances which we are happy to facilitate.

We have given support and performing opportunities to develop the talents of many local musicians, writers, amateur actors, and fine artists as well as attracting nationally known speakers and performers. 

We have hosted numerous exhibitions of fine arts – including Derbyshire Open Arts – presented author talks, produced drama performances and promoted many concerts including folk, jazz, choral and classical music.

For more than twenty years we have fulfilled our aim to promote the arts for the benefit of the local community – in particular, the residents of the administrative Parish of Holymoorside and Walton, near Chesterfield in Derbyshire and its environs. 

We also have the facility to screen films. 

HOLYMOORSIDE FILM: After showing over 200 movies since 2006 we are no longer able to present a regular film programme.  However, we still have projection equipment installed in Holymoorside Village Hall, and are prepared to offer the opportunity, by arrangement, to any group who may like to finance a community screening.  All enquiries will be considered.
